At Adventure Education Sweden we will provide an environment that actively promotes outdoor learning and interaction with Nature.
Our connection to Nature is vital. Only by learning with Nature and sharing its wonders can we learn to live respectfully and ensure a healthy, vibrant existence for future generations

David Sobel, one of the world’s great Education for Sustainability scholars says that our first goal must be to create conditions for youth to experience and fall in love with the natural world around them. Aiming to foster a love of nature locally, and to consider the developmental appropriateness of introducing environmental issues, should be a priority for teachers.
How?
Young people at AES will be immersed in Nature through a 'challenge by choice' approach. A series of 'projects for learning' will be provided from which they can choose to participate in, or not. These will include activities around animal care and management, land and forestry management, Forest School activities, mountain-biking and tourism and IT work connected to school. Students will also be encouraged to create their own projects , therefore fostering community engagement.
